Nachdem der Wetterbericht für heute Regen, Regen, Regen angekündigt hatte, hatte ich mir Indoor-Aktivitäten verordnet. Ich habe mich gestern ohnehin versehentlich auf meine neue Sonnenbrille gesetzt, und es hat sich damit ausgesonnenbrillt.
Und zwar wollte ich erst ins Kino - der Matsumoto sagte gestern, dass sein neuester Film nicht so gut läuft (wer ein Plakat gesehen hat, wundert sich nicht, warum, dem sieht man schon auf 100m Entfernung an, dass es ein ganz übles Machwerk ist) und er brauche noch paar Yen fuffzich, und wir sollten doch ins Kino gehen. Ja, ja, übles Machwerk hin oder her, dachte ich mir, das ist doch genau der Level, auf dem ich Japanisch verstehe, in den Autorenfilm brauchen wir nicht gehen.
Anschließend wollte ich ins Museum vom Studio Ghibli (falls ihr das nicht kennt, das ist ein ziemlich berühmtes Animationsstudio). Aber so ein Museumsbesuch ist nicht ganz so trivial, wie er sich anhört.
Es will nämlich jeder und seine Großmutter ins Ghibli-Museum, die Jungs vom Ghibli-Museum wollen aber nicht, dass es da zugeht wie Sau. Also muss man sich die Tickets vorher kaufen, und zwar gibt es in ganz Tokio eine Kette mit Drogeriemärkten, nämlich den “Lawson”, wo man an Automaten Konzertkarten aller Art kaufen kann sowie eben die Tickets für das Museum. Freundlicherweise haben die Ghiblis auf ihrer Seite auch genau aufgelistet, welche Knöpfe man drücken muss. Erst den pinken rechts oben, dann den schmalen links oben, dann die Zeit auswählen, zu welcher man hin will (es gibt 4 zur Auswahl), dann angeben, wie viele Tickets man will, und voilá! Die Maschine spuckt einen Bon aus, den man an der Kasse gegen Tickets eintauschen kann. Sagt zumindest die Ghibli-Seite.
Ich also morgens auf dem Weg zum Kino noch flugs zum Lawson, geht ja schnell. Pinken Knopf gedrückt, Knopf links oben, Zeit ausgewählt, 14.00 Uhr ist gut … Automat rödelt, wunderbar, gleich kommt der Bon.
Nein! Der Automat zeigt mir einen langen japanischen Text sowie drei fies japanisch beschriftete Auswahlknöpfe. Hm. Ich vermute, dass der Satz heißt “Alle Tickets für die Zeit schon weg”, und drücke den Auswahlknopf, auf dem ich die Schriftzeichen für “zeigen” und “Zeit” erkenne, weil ich denke, das heißt sicher, “Zeige mir die Zeiten, wo noch gehen tun”. Heureka! Der Automat zeigt mir viele Zeiten, heute ist nur noch 16.00 Uhr frei. Ich drücke auf 16:00 Uhr. Jetzt kommt sicher der Bon.
Nein!!! Unerwartet zeigt mir der Automat Bilder von schönen Kreditkarten vom Lawson und gibt mir die Auswahl “IIE” (das heißt “nein”, lese ich übrigens im Geiste immer wie “das Produkt der deutschen Henne, WILD DURCHEINANDER”) und “HAI” (”ja”, das kennt man). Ich also flugs “IIE”, weil hab ich nicht, die Kreditkarte. EEEK! Der Automat will, dass ich mit fiesen japanischen Buchstaben meinen Namen eingebe. Das war so nicht vereinbart. Vielleicht hätte ich ja doch “HAI” drücken sollen, und die Kreditkarte war nur ein Symbol für “Bezahlen”? Ich also wieder zurück, “HAI” - nö, da soll ich die Kreditkarte durchziehen. Ich also wieder zurück, “IIE”, und mühsam meinen Namen mit Katakana buchstabiert.
Daraufhin gibt es zwei Knöppkes, einen linken und einen rechten. 50% Chance! Ich also links draufgedrückt…Abbruch! Muh! Alles wieder von vorn. Pinker Knopf, Knopf oben links, Zeit ausgewählt, IIE! Namen buchstabiert. Also jetzt den rechten Knopf.
“Bitte geben Sie Ihre Telefonnummer ein, und zwar (XXX)-(XXX XXXX)” sagt der Automat. AAAAH! Isch abe doch gar keine japanische Telefon. Ich gebe wild irgendwelche Nummern ein. UNGÃœLTIGE NUMMER sagt der Automat. Ich gehe auf der Suche nach einem Angestellten. Der Angestellte sagt, ich soll da meine Handy-Nummer eingeben. Ich sage, ja, gut und schön, junger Mann, das hätte ich ausnahmsweise verstanden, aber ich sei aus Deutschland, und deutsche Handynummern seien nicht so wie die japanischen. Nun, ich solle einfach die Nummer von meinem japanischen Arbeitgeber eingeben, sagt der höfliche Angestellte, verbeugt sich und geht wieder Regal einräumen *sigh*. Touristen wollen offenbar nie ins Ghibli-Museum.
Nachdem ich noch mehrere UNGÃœLTIGE NUMMERN!!! versucht habe, gebe ich auf und meine deutsche Handynummer ohne die Null der Vorwahl ein. VIELEN DANK sagt da der Automat. HAHAHA! Die mag der Automat doch tatsächlich leiden. Hätte ich das nur gleich versucht, aber wer kann denn das ahnen. Und tatsächlich, danach kann ich “1 Person” eingeben, und der Automat spuckt meinen Bon aus. Puh. Das war mal eine schwere Geburt.
Ich also aus dem Lawson raus - draußen ist strahlender Sonnenschein. Bah, vom Wetter lasse ich mir meine Pläne nicht vermiesen. Ich beschließe aber, ab heute nicht mehr auf den Wetterbericht zu hören. Morgen geht’s zum Strand oder nach Hakone, egal, was. Falls ihr also morgen vom fiesen Unwetter in Tokio hört, wisst ihr, woher es kommt.
Zum Glück bin ich rechtzeitig los und trudle trotz meiner Lawson-Eskapade rechtzeitig zu Filmbeginn im Kino ein, wo zunächst aber ein Public Announcement kommt “Handys aus, jetzt nicht mehr reden, und bitte nicht den Sitz vor Ihnen treten”, ein Schluss, den ich sehr schön finde. Ich bin etwas besorgt, dass ich im falschen Film sitze, denn außer mir sind noch 4 Geschäftsmänner und 2 alte Opas im Kino. Nicht die typische Matsumoto-Klientel. Vielleicht bin ich doch versehentlich in “Rambo” geraten? Nein, es ist tatsächlich “The Last Princess”, das üble Machwerk - und es handelt sich tatsächlich um ein solches. Es ist tatsächlich ein Remake von einem Kurosawa-Film, der sich vermutlich darob im Grabe umgedreht hat (isser tot? ich weiß sowas ja nie).
Hätte mich der Matsumoto doch nur mal vorher gefragt, hätte ich ihm auch sagen können, dass der Film floppen wird, denn man hat ihm einen Bart angeklebt zu seinen puschligen Haaren, dass er vage aussieht wie ein Pavian, und das wollen doch die kleinen Mädchen nicht sehen. Der Film ist aber ziemlich unterhaltsam, in einer “Wir schauen ihn nachts auf RTL2″-Art und Weise, ich amüsiere mich prächtig und kann der Handlung auch ohne Probleme folgen.
Die im Titel erwähnte Prinzessin trägt trotz Edo-Samurai-Setting schicke Overknee-Strümpfe, behauptet aber dennoch zunächst hartnäckig, sie sei der Bruder von dem Typen links neben ihr auf dem Bild. Ja nee, is klar. Der prügelt sich mit einem Samuraischwert funkensprühend (!) mehrfach durch die Horden des zwar fies schwarz gekleideten, aber mit ca. 1,20m Größe doch wenig furchterregenden Darth Vader-Samurai-Bösewicht. Zwischendurch gabeln die beiden den Matsumoto und seinen Comedy-Sidekick auf, die sich hauptsächlich durch stets wechselndes Schuhwerk und Zustand der Zähne (Continuity hallo!), schwarze Schminke im Gesicht (Street Cred!) sowie die bereits erwähnte überbordende Haarpracht auszeichnen - auch im alten Edo hatte der Samurai stets eine Dose Gard extra strong im Handgepäck.
Zwischendurch kommen mir Zweifel, ob man den Film tatsächlich ernst gemeint hat, nämlich, als der zuvor erwähnte Prügler einen der Samurai mit dem Schwert trifft, und der Samurai in zwei Hälften vom Pferd kippt. Ich versuche, nicht zu laut zu lachen, um die Geschäftsmänner nicht zu wecken, die neben mir eingenickt sind. Am Schluss ist die Prinzessin gerettet und geht ihr Land regieren, aber der Matsumoto darf nicht an sie ran (weil kein Prinz), und hüpft statt dessen mit seinem Sidekick durch die Wellen am Strand. Wunderbar. Ob das mal bei Kurosawa auch so war? Ich beschließe, sofort die DVD zu erwerben, wenn sie denn erst für 150 Yen in der Ramschkiste liegt.
Anschließend fahre ich zum Studio Ghibli-Museum, und das ist tatsächlich ganz reizend. Es liegt ganz idyllisch in einem Park etwas außerhalb in einem Vorort von Tokio und sieht ein bisschen aus wie ein Hundertwasser-Haus. Innen ist es niedlich verwinkelt und weniger wie ein Museum, sondern eher wie ein kleines Haus, in dem ein Animator wohnt - man kann alles anfassen und reingucken und aufmachen und Bleistifte aufheben und Sachen entdecken. Deshalb auch die limitierten Tickets, damit man sich nicht gegenseitig auf die Füße tritt. Auf dem Dach stehen ein großer Metallroboter und ein geheimnisvoller Würfel, den ich nicht kenne - ich habe von Miyazaki nur “Mononoke Hime”, “Spirited Away” und “Howl’s Moving Castle” gesehen. Die anwesenden Japaner kennen den Würfel aber, und halten geheimnisvoll ihre Hände darüber fürs obligatorische Foto. Ich mache lieber eins mit dem Roboter.
Trotz der “Lawson”-Hürden sind außer den Japanern auch noch ein Haufen Touristen da. Nach einer Weile Wandern werde ich erschöpft und gucke noch im hauseigenen Kino einen kurzen Film über eine Katze, die 8 Beine hat und ein Bus ist. Der NEKO-BUS! Das erklärt das Zimmer ganz oben im Speicher vom Haus, in dem ein riesiger Neko-Bus aus Plüsch steht, wo alle Kinder hin wollen und sich in die Plüsch-Katze setzen. Ich will auch einen Neko-Bus! Der könnte mich jetzt wieder in mein Hotel zurück bringen. Leider habe ich keinen und so muss ich mit dem Zug wieder zurück fahren. Jetzt bin ich wieder voll erschöpft, in meinem Alter sind so Ausflüge ganz schön anstrengend. Vielleicht doch morgen eher zum Strand als den Vulkan hoch…
